Rosalind Brodsky and Samuel Goldwyn
Rosalind Brodsky is the delusional and time travelling alter ego of Suzanne Treister. This latest episode of Brodsky’s travels is called Hexen2039 and is included in the travelling show Blur and the Otherworldly, on at the Center for Art and Visual Culture, UMBC, Baltimore USA.
“In 2039 Brodsky travels to an assignment at West Point U.S. Military Academy, situated on the banks of the Hudson River, 50 miles north of Manhattan in New York State. Brodsky is working with IMATI and the British Ministry of Defense (MOD) on a programme of research for the development and mass delivery system of a new range of non-lethal weapons.”
…and so begins the fantastical search that brings together Hollywood, Samuel Goldwyn, Fantastia, Russian composer Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky, Aleister Crowley and a host of other unlikely connections and associations. Treister’s work is addictive and wonderful at the same time.
