Bernard Faucon

An early exemplar of the staged and therefore fictive photograph. Bernard Faucon began taking photos in the ’60’s. He worked mainly with dummies or dolls recreating scenes and memories from his seemingly idyllic childhood spent in the south of France - in the Luberon. The photos are strange, weird and sometimes creeepy, but always compelling.
